How to change blogger template

For changing bloggers blog look you need a template. I you came here from my previous post I am sure you have downloaded blogger template if not please visit download a template from here.

Ok!! We are all set with an xml template now let’s change it.Here is the complete procedure in steps

1) Login to your blogger account and in dashboard click on layout link of your blog

2) In next screen you will get a link called Edit Html

3) In next screen you will get one link called download full template. This download full template will download the xml file of your present theme and it’s always a good idea to take backup before any change.

4) Now click on browse button choose your template xml file and then upload it to blogger.
5) In next screen you may get error like this that “following component will be removed” just click confirm and save button if you do not have any issue with this.
6) In next screen you will see message your changes have been saved and you will get link view blog.

Few errors that you might get while posting

1)If your template is not proper then you might get error like this.
2) You might get one more error page with some weird numbers in the end result so just do not worry for that and go ahead for the same procedure after some time.

Change blogger look by themes

Three coloumn blogger template

If you completed three post and still not added Google adsense on your site first place some adds and then go ahead because every minute you are not showing adds you may be losing money.

Look of your blog :-> Many time new blogger think they cannot change the look of their blog to the fantastic look like other blogs because they are not technical person and they cannot create blog theme like others. Few even don’t think for changing the default theme. If you want to monetize your blog and want good revenue from your blog I must recommend you to change the default theme with some nice themes.

Ok next jumping question in your mind must be how you can change that!!

Answer is simple you can just download the template from few free template providers and you can just upload these themes on blogger and you can get fantastic looking UI.

http://www.eblogtemplates.com This website provide free blogger template but the only thing that I don’t find good is it ask for few alteration in its code else its very good.

http://webtalks.blogspot.com/2007/04/downlaod-three-column-new-blogger.html Here you will get all the three column altered template of existing template of blogger. You can use either of these template if you want to stick with Google default template.

http://adsensetheme4blogger.blogspot.com/ This is my own blog from where you can get the three column blogger template. These blogger templates are originally copied from above two locations or from some other location also but I altered them for highly optimizing with Google ad sense and I tried to remove all the work from your side other then adding adsense code.

For almost all the template you need to do some changes that help you will get from download location so do not worry for any change.

Tips for writing a good blog post

Many time people ask me what should they write and how they should write. For what they should write answer is simple write something that you like to write, write something on which you are good and write it with full dedication with mind that it should be helpful for others doesn’t matter you are writing it for help others or getting money. If it’s not helpful for someone they won’t come so they won’t click on your add if you will not have visitors.

Next question is how to write a good blog post for that here is long…………. Answer for that but belive me it’s going to be useful for you.

Thing to remember while posting a blog :->

Subject or topic header of blog post: -> Subject of each post should be very clear and it should be related to those words that you would give for searching similar post in Google or any search engine. You will get a very unique URL for each post once you complete your setting in blogger setting. That we will discuss latter on in the next post. But keep remember your subject should wrap post reason or it should contain possible search words.

Keep a post concise and clear :-> In my opinion blog post should be clear and not too big unless its not really needed but not very short too. Do not use any heavy word that would make your reader uneasy on your blog , please try that your user need not to refer dictionary for understanding your words meaning instead of understanding your post.

Support your post with images :-> It’s always a good idea to support your post with images if it could help your user to understand the topic but please do not post image while it’s not really needed.

How to create post :-> I would recommend you to use Ms Office word or any other word processing tool because it will remove all the spelling mistakes and possible grammar mistakes at time of composing only and for blogger it’s not good I they are posting something with lot of spelling mistakes or grammar mistakes. Other than grammar and spelling mistakes you can format your post like color bold or underlined while composing and you can save it in your future uses.

What browser you should use :-> I must say you should use Firefox and forcing for Firefox has very special reason. Actually if you are composing post in word processing tool and added some formatting likes color, bold or underlined can be copied as it is in your word processing tool but if you paste it in internet explorer it will not copy the entire formatting thing and it will give you just one font for complete post and you need to format it again and I am sure you do not want to same task twice. So use Firefox.

For writing a post do not use any auto generated number or symbols like aero star or big dot. It will not work properly in internet explorer and it will destroy the complete look of your post so give number manually while composing in word tool also

Do formatting your post :-> Yes it’s very important that you do formatting your post. Highlight very important content of a particular portion with different color may be you can do bold italic underline that’s all depends on your choice. If you think to make a complete paragraph highlighted and you want to emphasize on each line of that paragraph color each line of that paragraph with different color. You can see the example of this in my first post for this blog from here. Please do not do it for complete post else people will think it’s not special.

Be polite while posting :-> it’s my personal opinion that you should be polite while writing a blog post and you should be thankful for your reader because “If you keep your customer happy they will keep you happy” and every reader of your blog is your customer.

Completing your post :-> “Few days back I attend a seminar and I found it was not boring at all even listener had no option to ask question before question answer session and seminar was not too good for me. Reason for this non boring seminar was request from speaker for appreciation claps from audience for those people whom he pointed in seminar for great causes”

Yes………….in last ask to your reader for commenting on your post, be hopeful that your post helped them and you are more than welcome to help them in case if they do get problem. And last but not lease be thankful for them for coming on your blog

This completing your post thing depend on your but I would recommend to do that in your daily practice.

What is blogging : -> I am not expert so I cannot give you real term of this but in short I can say “blogging is a way to communicate with other people over internet, It’s a service that can give you, your own home page without being expert of computers. Only MS word and internet knowledge will do for blogging.”

Best blogging service :-> Well it’s on your choice and you could go for http://www.wordpress.com/ or www.blogger.com . Both provide free blogging service or you can go for any other free or paid blogging service but I would recommend www.blogger.com only because blogger gives sub domain while word press gives a folder path and sub domain is always good to get in search result comparison to folder. Other than that with www.blogger.com you can have other Google service integration very easy comparison to other blogging service.

So my recommendation is to go for www.blogger.com only for blogging service.

Here about blogging website I will just stick with www.blogger.com and for all the setting we will talk about www.blogger.com only.

Many people start doing blogging just to earn money , so if you are a new blogger I would recommend for not to jump in how to earn money section before I recommend to do that believe me in one hour you will be not able to make any thing what you could loose in future one hour by direct jump.

Ok In this book I will be talking about different things for a new blogger and different tools that a new or old blogger need to use and most important and interesting fact about these tools is that you will need not to pay a single penny for this

1)Basic About blogging and blogger.com :-> In this part we will talk about what are the basic things that we need to remember while posting what could be possible problems that you may feel and how to get rid of them, Other than this some tweaks would be there about that are not there in blogger directly but you can do it.

2)About Looks of your blog :-> It’s not necessary that you just stick with the basic look that blogger gives you. You can have lot of different themes that are freely available over internet, don’t worry I will share the information to you for that how to do and what to do for changing look of your blog.

3)How to get in Google:-> Many say they do search engine optimization for there blog or website but I say I do Google search Engine optimization you must have a question why I said like this. Answer is simple Google does not take 2 weeks to crawl your page and then to get your page in result section so instead of doing search engine optimization for all the search engine I do only Google search Engine optimization. There is one more reason for google that I will be able to tell you in my blog post only. Other then Google search Engine optimization we will talk about other gsearch engines optimization also but I am not very positive about them.

4)How to earn money :-> Well it’s a very nice topic because generally bloggers do blogging for earn money and I believe there is no shame to accept this fact. Now question is how to earn money but believe me you are not only earning money but also helping others so keep blogging even if some one tease you . Ok let’s get to the point I will tell you how to earn money not only from Google ad sense but also from other publisher who are compatible with Google ad sense.

5)How to track your visitors :-> It’s a very nice topic that every blogger should know and I took six month long time to reach to this point. I will tell you how to track your visitor for each and every blog. I will even tell you how to track each users visit and there action and believe me you would not need to pay a single penny for that.

6)Burning Your Feed :-> It’s a very good Idea to let your visitors know that you have updated your blog so they can come back to your blog easily and that you can do by burning a email or RSS feed. I tell you how to burn and use email and RSS feed.

7)Extra component :-> How to add status counter, users came from where and other components on your blog.

Bloggers beginner Guide

Before going further let me clear you there is no shortcut for new serious blogger but believe me its only time consuming but not boring and tough at all.

Please close this blog if you can not give total 7 hours for this book and believe me you will be not able do any thing good for your blog in those 7 hours doesn’t matter how hard you try.

If you are ready to give 7 hour seriously for this book then go ahead else Please close the window and have a good time.

Today one of my very good friends asked me if I can teach him about blogging.

He was interested in blogging and earning money too from blogs by posting his study notes that he is making for his CA final exam. I said ok and tried to explain the things from scratch to him, initially he was fine with all the things but in few minutes he started yawning and responded “ Dude I was thinking it would be easy but it’s a lengthy and confusing process”

After hearing this I thought it could be a good idea to help those who are new to blogging world and need to teach lot of things that how to blog what should be there on blog, how to get in search engine result what could be the ways of earning and how to track your users.

I will be writing almost all the things that I learn in my one year’s blogging experience in this blog book. I love to write blogs and I am running many different kind of blogs out of them 2 are most favorite for me those are http://apdubey.blogspot.com this is a technical blog where I share my technical information and knowledge with all. If you are interested in posting on my blog please let me know, you are more then welcome for this.
